That was probably first photo what I took in Malawi. First impression? I mean we have markets everywhere in Europe, but this is a bit different you may find there all kind of different stuff from simple tomatoes which are put very nicely in triangle shape to toot brush. And a little bit of disorder everywhere. You can strange things like music from movies without screen, sound is really poor hard to understand for those people who know English and there in rural area is majority of people not English but Chechewa speaking. But at least they have music/sound. Since first day of being here, everybody can realize that music is quite important for them.

This market is in Dowa town. It`s the biggest town i our district. First time I went there with previous Development Instructor what already left.. Just to see town and check some shops and market as well.
Well I can say that town is nice even though  compare with our area Dowa is more forested. However more crowded too. But in general is nice place. Always is good to see other places. Actually we were in one restaurant too, on recommendation from our friends. In restaurant they recognized them straight away and he was nice with us too. It was kind of family atmosphere and chicken with rice were great and tasty :D

When I`m writing about market I need to mention carrying stuff on head. from beginning it was for me something waw, but now I got to used to see it all the time so is normal ordinary stuff what i can see daily.
What I can say about women which are carrying whatever on their heads, heavy things too. They work hard to bring whatever on the market in order to sell it. Actually I tried to carry bucket with water on my head too, and when you know how to keep balance and spine straight then it`s easier than to carry something with hands. And another thing is that they are taking me as an one of them. I mean is nice to show them  that you respect their culture, even though with small thing like this. And then you can talk with them and to get closer and so on. It has some advantages :)
